Event Summary

Join us for Getaway (Grades 6-8) September 27-28!

Getaway is a weekend event for middle school students in grades 6-8 on the campus of Ozark Christian College for church groups. Getaway encourages and equips those who minister to youth and challenges youth to pursue life on mission with God, practice Christian service, and build Christian character at a young age. Getaway also recruits more workers for the harvest field, engaging them in Ozark’s mission to train for Christian service.

This year’s theme is “Bear Fruit”. We want this weekend experience to reveal to students how staying connected to Jesus through spiritual practices produces a life that shows him to the world. If we could put the messages for the weekend into one sentence, it would read: A soul connected to Jesus produces a life that glorifies him.

About the Speaker

Tyler Bade is originally from Arizona but now resides in Joplin, Missouri with his wife and puppy. He has worked with middle and high school students in different capacities for the last 10 years, and loves pursuing Jesus alongside them. He has been a youth pastor at his church for just over 6 years now. He enjoys spending time with his wife, hanging with his bros, reading good books, and wishing he could host The Tonight Show.

      Early Registration: $25 per person (July 1 to August 20)
      *Early registration includes an event t-shirt.

      Extended Registration: $35 per person (August 21 to September 20)
      *Extended registration does not include an event t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for purchase on Saturday for $10/shirt as inventory allows.


      · All registration costs include lunch on-campus Saturday.

      · Every student must fill out a Teen Event Permission Form. Parents can fill out the electronic form or can fill out the PDF form for you to bring to registration.

      · Every sponsor must fill out a Youth Event Sponsor Form for Campus Security. Sponsors can fill out the electronic form or fill out the PDF form and bring it to registration
      *Electronic forms close on Thursday, September 20 at NOON.
