OCC Academy FAQs

• Is OCC Academy accredited?

  No. OCC Academy offers non-credit courses and awards certificates of completion.

• Is there a fee for OCC Academy courses?

  Yes. Because OCC Academy courses are more in-depth than our free NextLevel series, there is a fee for each class.

• Will OCC accept Academy courses for credit at the undergraduate or seminary level?

  No. The OCC Academy is a non-credit option for students who desire advanced studies. If you would like information about undergraduate or seminary course options please contact admissions@occ.edu.

• Does OCC Academy only include video teaching?

  The first OCC Academy course, “How to Interpret the Bible,” is 12 sessions (36 videos) with over twelve hours of video content and guided, practical learning exercises adaptable for your ministry and your pace.

• How long do I have to complete the course?

  You can access the course anytime and complete it at your own pace.

• Do I have to buy any additional resources or books?

  Purchasing additional resources and books will vary with each OCC Academy course. Individual course descriptions include information regarding resources and books for that class.

• Will I be taking this class in a cohort or receive faculty feedback?

  OCC Academy courses are designed to be affordable and adaptable, allowing individuals and churches to customize the content for their own needs. In the future, we plan to offer additional features, including cohorts and faculty feedback and interaction. If these options interest you, email occacademy@occ.edu.

• Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

  Yes! Please email occacademy@occ.edu with the name of your church/organization and how many seats you plan to purchase.
