Youth Minister

Mid-size church in Reidsville, NC. Reidsville is a suburb about 20 minutes north of the Greensboro/Triad area of NC. Our area is slated to grow over the next decade. We are a healthy, dynamic church with proven leadership. Our senior pastor has been here for over 30 years. Our elders are wise, unified, and consistent. We have a great children's ministry to feed the youth ministry. We have caring parents and volunteers to invest in the ministry. The ministry is growing but needs a new leader to take something that is good to become great.

Student Ministry Job Description Purpose: The next generation is critical to Reidsville Christian Church. Therefore, finding the right person to lead Student Ministry (6-12th grades) is integral to the present and future of our church. Reports To: The Student Minister will report to the Elders of RCC. Daily, the position will be managed by the Associate Minister. Overview: To manage the needs of & grow the Student Ministry in alignment with the values of Reidsville Christian Church. ESSENTIALS Character -Talent and passion are necessary, but character is essential. A successful candidate must first manage their own walk with God & their family before they can shepherd a ministry flock. Must love all unconditionally. Leadership -The ideal candidate must be a leader of leaders. A self-starter: flexible and well-organized. Able to lead when necessary and delegate when appropriate. Relationships -The secret sauce of youth ministry is investing in relationships. The ideal candidate must build relationships not only with students but also with parents. Disciples make disciples. PRIMARY DUTIES Create safe, welcoming, consistent ministry environments. Manage weekly programming (connection group, youth group) Teach Gods Word at programming. Develop ministry calendar: events, trips, camps, missions, etc. Recruit, train, and equip volunteers. Oversee youth budget & fundraisers. Communicate ministry events via social media, emails, mailers, etc. Provide spiritual guidance when appropriate. Community involvement Serve in other church needs when appropriate.
