Young Adult Minister

Position Overview: We are seeking a mission-minded individual to join our team, with a focus on young adult and campus ministry. This is a unique opportunity for a male leader who feels called to bring the gospel to a spiritually under-reached region, while being actively trained and equipped for future growth into a Senior Pastor role. The individual will join a team committed to mentoring and developing pastoral leadership, offering intentional support as they grow in their calling.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a growing young adult and campus ministry, focusing on spiritual growth, discipleship, and gospel evangelism to local young adults and college students. Preach and teach with an emphasis on Christ-centered, expository preaching that applies the gospel to all areas of life, promoting spiritual growth in faith and character. Build relationships and provide mentorship to young adults, encouraging them in their walk with Christ through spiritual disciplines and integrity in all aspects of life. Engage in outreach initiatives aimed at sharing the gospel with the largely unchurched population in Rhode Island, both on college campuses and within the local community. Partner with church leadership in broader ministry efforts, including preaching, teaching, and event planning. Grow in leadership with a long-term vision for assuming greater pastoral responsibilities, specifically being trained to become a Senior Pastor.

Who We're Looking For: We are seeking a male candidate who has a strong theological foundation and aligns with Christ Community Church's Christ-centered, gospel-driven ministry. Is passionate about gospel evangelism, particularly in spiritually underserved areas like Rhode Island. Values gospel-centered discipleship, spiritual disciplines, and emotional health, both personally and in leading others. Has a heart for reaching young adults and college students, fostering discipleship, and building community. Desires to make a long-term commitment to the church and the local mission field, with a vision to grow into greater pastoral roles, including Senior Pastor. Is spiritually mature, with strong preaching, teaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
