At Iron Coast Church, worship is much more than just music in a Sunday service. Worship is connected to every part of our lives beyond the walls of church every day. The responsibility of a Worship Leader is to partner with the staff team of Iron Coast Church in chasing the vision of developing a vibrant worship culture that supports the vision, the mission and the strategies of Iron Coast Church while leading and shepherding volunteers to embody the culture and vision. Essential Functions: Come alongside the Iron Coast staff team & church family Developing, cultivating and leading a culture of worship at Iron Coast Church Planning & organizing weekly worship gatherings with the Staff Team Identify, recruit, train, shepherd, and lead volunteers Consistent scheduling and communication with volunteers Leading worship songs & hosting elements at weekend gatherings Running rehearsals & Volunteer Rundowns Serve on Worship Ministry Team Learning new songs Develop a culture of worship within Students & Kids programming Build new relationships with other musicians in the nearby community Partner with the staff team to create, develop and lead a culture of prayer Assist with outreach-focused worship events aimed at reaching the community Occasional Pastoral responsibilities weddings, funerals etc. Essential Competencies: Pastor & Shepherd at heart Strongly passionate about reaching lost people Eager to connect & engage new volunteers/musicians Desire to relate and work with people Strong communication skills, both vocally and written Musical skills and lead vocal ability Passion for interethnic and intergenerational worship Proven team leader and volunteer training skills Organized and efficient especially with time management Strong work ethic, positive attitude and is a team player/collaborator Experienced in varied music technology such as ProTools, Ableton Live, Logic and MainStage Required Education, Experience, and Membership: Experience in leading worship ministry Demonstrated alignment with the Iron Coast Church Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, Strategies Engaged Member & Contributor of Iron Coast Church Living Our Values Jesus changes everything.
