On Mission: Serving in the name of Christ.The Role Of The Worship & Arts MinisterCrossroads Christian Church is a multigenerational church that seeks to honor God above all. We are passionate about mobilizing others to discover and grow in their gifts and working to create a positive name for Jesus and the local church within our community. The Worship & Arts Minister (W&A) fosters an atmosphere of creativity and collaboration among our Worship & Arts teams as well as leading our congregation to encounter Christ.The Worship & Arts Minister: Receives guidance from the Lead Minister for developing and presenting a consistently high-quality Sunday morning worship experience for both in-person and online services to honor Christ and advance the designated themes for the day. Seeks to be a pastor as well as a musician and coordinator to the volunteers in this ministry. Coordinates with the choir for involvement in Sunday morning worship services and seasonal events, assisting as needed. Oversees and executes special worship gatherings such as Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc. Works with the leader of Re:Generation to organize worship for Re:Gens Tuesday evening gathering. Communicates and meets with a variety of church leaders and volunteers who contribute to weekly services and other ministries. Works with Crossroads leadership to build recruitment and training pathways for the Worship & Arts Ministry. Develops and resources volunteers for leadership roles.Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinates with the Lead Minister in the planning of Sunday morning worship gatherings. Recruit, train, schedule, and disciple volunteers who lead worship services and who serve in our sound/tech/live stream areas. Communicate clearly, timely, and effectively with volunteers. Maintains and inventories all W&A equipment, supplies, and areas. Other duties as required.Candidate ProfileWe Are Seeking A Candidate With The Following Qualities: Loves Jesus, the local church, creativity, and collaboration. Recognizes the Bible as the final authority. Is both a student and a teacher. Has strong written and verbal communication skills. Possesses a strong work ethic and an attitude of continual improvement. Loves working with people. Someone who is a self-starter. Is an effective planner and organizer. Models Christs love in family and personal relationships. Embraces the foundational principles of The Restoration Movement (Stone-Campbell Movement) of which Crossroads Christian Church belongs. Must know or learn Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, other software programs used by the ministry, and all technology used in worship gatherings.Preferred Education And Experience: A degree from a Christian university, college or seminary. Equivalent ministry experience will also be considered. Has experience in church organizational leadership or in para-church/nonprofit organizational leadership. Experience recruiting, teaching, and training others.Salary And BenefitsSalary will be based on education and experience. This position is a salaried-exempt employee of Crossroads Christian Church. This position is eligible for paid time off (based on experience), a flexible spending account for healthcare, family and medical leave, and a 403b retirement plan.
