Senior Minister

FCC is an independent, non-denominational Christ-centered, Bible authority believing church located approximately 20 miles south of Knoxville, in the center of Maryville, TN. The city of Maryville has a population of around 32,724 and neighboring Alcoa a population of around 14,936. Our church building and grounds are in a prime location at the intersection across from the county courthouse. We are near the historic area of the county and Maryville College.

First Christian Church of Maryville, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Senior Minister. We are located in downtown Maryville in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. We average 60-70 in our Sunday worship service. The candidate must hold to the Bible as the final authority. He must be doctrinally sound, recognizing that the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16), devoted to the restoration of New Testament Christianity, and have a heart for the lost. He must possess the qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus. Duties - Responsible to the Elders of the church - Assist in identifying, equipping, and encouraging each member in ministry opportunities/needs - Help maintain membership roster and baptism records - Visitation in hospitals, to the membership, to shut-ins, and new visitors - Provide counseling, as needed - Evangelize the community by active involvement - Teach Bible Study class - Prepare and preach weekly Lord’s day sermons - Be available to attend iServe team meetings, as needed
