Senior Minister

First Christian Church in Shelbyville, Illinois is a small rural church located in central Illinois with a rich 190 year history within our community. Shelbyville has a population of 5000 and is a beautiful town located on Lake Shelbyville. Our church was founded in 1836 during the Campbell-Stone movement and has remained true to the core beliefs of that heritage. We are also in alignment with the Disciple Heritage Fellowship ministry and value their support of our church. Our mission is: To Love God, love people and share the Gospel Message with a hurting world.

We are searching for a Lead minister who is Spirit filled and will act as the spiritual leader and pastoral caregiver for the congregation. Responsibilities would include conducting worship services, delivering sermons, conducting weddings, funerals, baptisms, and offering counseling when needed. They would provide guidance, community outreach, and handle administrative tasks for the church. While we are seeking a full time minister, hours are negotiable.
