We are a Bible-believing fellowship who, through our walk with and worship of God, provide Christ-centered teaching, spiritual growth, and outreach in an atmosphere of love and acceptance. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Pastor to lead us in our spiritual journey and help us grow in faith and numbers.Position Overview: The Senior Pastor will be a spiritual leader, providing guidance, support, and pastoral care to our congregation. The ideal candidate will inspire, teach, and unite our community, fostering an environment of love, faith, and growth.Preaching/Worship 1. Delivers engaging, Bible-based sermons. 2. Focuses on spiritual growth and discipleship. 3. Communicates vision and strategies clearly. 4. Plans and coordinates worship services. 5. Sets study and preparation time weekly. 6. Creates evangelistic opportunities. Leadership/Leadership Development & Discipleship 1. Leads by example and teaching. 2. Implements church vision with leadership. 3. Oversees staff with goal flexibility. 4. Adapts to societal changes with doctrinal integrity. 5. Maintains vision and strategic plan with Elders. 6. Regularly meets with Elders. 7. Holds staff meetings, offering support and direction. 8. Encourages commitment and volunteerism. 9. Respects decisions of Elders. Outreach/Community Engagement 1. Inspires and equips evangelism. 2. Use innovative methods for outreach. 3. Partners with other ministries and organizations. 4. Engage with local leaders. 5. Mobilizes congregation for strategic outreach. Congregation Relations/Pastoral Care 1. Provides pastoral support with Elders. 2. Offers spiritual leadership. 3. Supports congregation through listening and referrals. 4. Conducts hospital and shut-in visits. 5. Performs baptisms, counseling, weddings, and funerals. Professional Development/Personal Growth 1. Continues spiritual growth and learning. 2. Seeks feedback and constructive criticism. 3. Prioritizes personal development. 4. Attends relevant courses and workshops. 5. Participates in small groups. 6. Engages in self-evaluation and feedback. Administration 1. Develops annual plan with Elders. 2. Manages budget and maintains fiscal responsibility.Compensation and Benefits: Salary based on education and experience, aligned with the Lexington Christian Church budget.
