Position Description

General Summary: Under general direction of the Prevention Services Director, the School Programming Lead Educator is responsible for providing assistance and leadership for Prevention Services department, including but not limited to programs, events, staff, operations, public relations and record keeping. The School Programming Lead Educator is a position that requires flexibility, diligence, and good people skills. Applies sound financial practices and accountability for all Connection Institute activities and programs. Demonstrates Godly leadership by maintaining personal, professional, and spiritual balance and health; and encouraging/enabling co-workers to do so. The School Programming Lead Educator will assist with student events programming with supervision by the Prevention Services Director.Essential Functions: Maintain professionalism as a representative of LifeChoices in the community and in the office. Be fully trained and familiar with all educational curricula including COMPASS (7th, 8th, and 9th) and Project I.D. (5th and 6th) and Amplify (10th-12th) and be one of the primary educators for these programs. Have working use of Word, PowerPoint, email, Facebook, SurveyMonkey, and Google sheets. Assists in coordinating staff, Core Team, and volunteers in preparing and running events programming. When needed, update citations and statistics used in curriculum and teaching tools for the organization. Represent CI when needed at college fairs, community events, or school functions. Build relationships with school administrators and teachers by being prompt, proactive, and positive. Maintain regular communication with Director in person, as well as over text, call and email when needed.Skills and Abilities: Experience teaching is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relate to all levels of business, professional, educational, religious, and service communities; general public; and youth. Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts and promote teamwork. Education, Credentials and Work Experience: Minimum of Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Training in pro-life issues and leadership desirable.Physical Requirement: This position requires sitting for extended periods of time, travel to and from schools and organizations, typing on keyboard, phone usage, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds for limited periods of time. The majority of work involved in this position takes place indoors.
