Part-time Lead Pastor

We are prayerfully searching for a faithful and inspiring, spiritual mentor and a visionary leader that could direct and lead us into the future that God has planned for us. Wells of Faith Church, formerly the United Methodist Church, was established over 130 years ago in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. We are a church family of compassionate volunteers and friends held together with the desire to serve and have been an active part of our community. Various activities and outreach programs include: Sunday services, Children's Sunday School or Nursery, Wednesday Adult Bible Study, Wednesday Bible School (during the school year for 1st-5th grade) for children of all denominations, delivery of welcome baskets to new community members, participation in Operation Christmas Child (collecting over 100 shoeboxes annually for this special outreach ministry), an active women's group that hosts an annual Bazaar with soup dinner/bake sale/silent auction/and community vendors, and last but not least, an annual dinner and Christmas ornament exchange for all area women, which is served by the men's group. Cheyenne Wells is a small rural community on the Eastern plains, about 180 miles East of Denver, Colorado, and about 15 miles from the Kansas border. Although we have a population of approximately 850 people, you can usually find anything you need right here in town. Its well worth your time to check out what all amenities are offered.

It is recommended that this candidate be a graduate of an accredited Association of Theological School or has a BA/BS degree or comparable experience and has Christ-centered theology with interest in community outreach and family ministry. Duties would include but are not limited to Sunday messages, special services, performing weddings/funerals/baptisms, and involvement in community activities. This candidate would be responsible for facilitating spiritual growth, providing congregational care and support, participate in prayer and Bible studies, and be involved in service planning. This part-time position includes a beautiful 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 car garage unfurnished parsonage with a large fenced in backyard.
