Minister

Weiner Christian Church has been dedicated to worshiping and following Jesus Christ since 1962. We are a non-denominational Christian Church that developed as a result of the Restoration Movement. We maintain that the Bible alone dictates our rule of faith and practice. Our church is located in the small town of Weiner in northeast Arkansas. The area is predominantly agricultural with rice being the major crop grown. Weiner Christian Church participates in a Ministerial Alliance with other churches in the town to provide extra assistance to those in need and to collaborate on a couple of community-wide special services. Weiner Christian Church has developed a reputation through the years for a dedication in providing activities for youth in the community. The church views community needs and outreach as important services. The towns elementary school, Weiner Elementary School, has received national recognition as a Blue Ribbon School and many state awards. The school is part of the consolidated district of Harrisburg School District. The minister position for Weiner Christian Church became open in June of 2024. It is the only paid position other than a custodian, with other services provided by volunteers. The facilities are in top condition, as is the parsonage.

Weiner Christian Church is seeking a full-time minister who has a passion for serving God and His people. Our ideal candidate would be devoted to sharing the gospel of Christ, exhibit spiritual and personal integrity, be proficient in knowledge of the Bible, have an enthusiasm for evangelism and growth, be comfortable with all ages, be an effective leader, and have the desire and the calling to serve as a pastor to our church members.Responsibilities and/or requirements would include: Presenting sermons and teaching from the Holy Bible Providing spiritual leadership and pastoral care Visiting the sick or shut-in Imparting vision to better help the church carry out the Lords work Participating in community life Sharing our churchs commitment to serving the youth of our community Overseeing, working with, and/or developing church programs for all ages Meeting regularly and working with the elders, deacons and other church leaders Possessing the same doctrinal beliefs of the Independent Christian Churches Being an ordained/licensed ministerSalary will be based on experience and education.
