Organization Description
First Christian Church (we go by “1C” around here) is a growing, vibrant, and down-to-earth church in Jacksonville, Illinois. We currently average 1300 in attendance on the weekends. Our mission is simple: CONNECTING UNCONNECTED PEOPLE TO JESUS CHRIST. We love God, love people, and don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We’re seeing God do some incredible things here – new believers, life change, growing ministries – and we believe worship is a key part of the journey. We’re building a culture where worship is authentic, excellent, and accessible to everyone, no matter where they are in their faith.

About the Position
Position Description
Primary Focus: To lead middle school students to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out their calling in a way that connects to today’s culture and the mission of First Christian Church. The Middle School Youth Pastor is passionate about creating environments where students are known, valued, and discipled in the way of Jesus. This person combines strong relational presence with strategic leadership to build a ministry that is gospel-centered, volunteer-led, student-driven, and mission-focused.
The ideal candidate will be:
