Lead Pastor

Calvary Bible Church is a non-denominational church located in Bonesteel, SD. We are a vibrant and growing congregation founded on the inherent Word of God and the power of prayer. Our church building was built in the early 1900s, and is close to being at full capacity with approximately 30 families and an abundance of children(30+ under age of 12). We offer Sunday school each week and also have an active weekly Kids Club that includes the community. Calvary Bible is full of members who are actively involved with ministry & outreach opportunities to the surrounding communities. Bonesteel is a small, but thriving community located in Gregory County, South Dakota. The town of Bonesteel is just under 300 people, but pulls people from Boyd and Gregory counties, which are communities with a combined population of over 5000. The opportunity for Kingdom growth is here and it has the ideal location as it is only 10 minutes from the beautiful Missouri River.

We are seeking a full-time pastor, but willing to be flexible if someone is seeking a part-time opportunity. We do offer a parsonage (4 bedroom, 2 bath with attached garage) with this position. Our retiring pastor of 20+ years was part-time as he was pastoring 2 churches in 2 separate communities. This is an opportunity for a pastor to lead and serve alongside a church that has a strong foundation. Calvary Bible Church has faithfully served the community of Bonesteel and the surrounding area for 125 years. Calvary Bible is a growing church filled with young families who are actively serving our community. We believe the opportunity for Kingdom growth is here and we are excited about how God will use our church family to impact those around us.
