Kids Minister

North Terrace Church of Christ is a non-denominational Christian Church out of the Restoration Movement located in Zanesville, OH, an hour outside of Columbus, OH. The church is led by Lead Minister Chris Steele who has been on staff for 11 years. The church currently has two identical services that are offered at 9:00a & 10:30a, with a modern worship style. Attendance runs between 750-800 each Sunday for their main worship services, and around 120 of that attendance is their kids ministry. North Terrace is experiencing a steady amount of growth and anticipates they will be needing a third service by 2025. The church is offering in-person and online live-streaming options for their Sunday morning experiences.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Kids Minister to oversee the vision and direction of their kids ministries. The desire is to see a strong, thriving, fun, and fruitful kids ministry that is gospel-focused with equipped and confident leaders. This position oversees kids 5th grade and below. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity to develop culture and grow the childrens ministry. Below are the requirements and responsibilities Froot Group has identified for this role:KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and create a Gospel-centered worship experience for NT Kids on Sunday mornings which include NT Nursery, NT Kids Preschool, and NT Kids Elementary (birth - 5th grade). Recruitment, training, and empowering of NT Kids Team Leaders and Team Members. Establish strong relationships with the children, leaders, and families. Select and implement age appropriate curriculum for the ministry, birth-5th grade. Leading regular events outside of Sunday that are either family oriented or a catalyst for helping kids take next steps. Championing the process behind partnering with parents and helping them be spiritual leaders at home. Develop and communicate the vision of the Kids Ministry with families in the church and people in the community. Creating processes and systems to support a safe environment in a growing Kids Ministry. Be the liaison between NTCOC and the NTCOC Preschool and provide value where applicable.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Has a mature and thriving relationship with Christ and the fruit of that relationship is evident. Competent, confident and above reproach. Humble team player. Warm, outgoing, and engaging personality. Has a clear calling and passion for Kids Ministry. Ability to lead, teach and shepherd children, parents, and volunteers. Ability to create a serving culture that adds and empowers leaders to serve. Skills to use technology to help the ministry stay relevant and efficient. Excellent communication skills. A commitment to the mission and values of the church. Experience: Minimum 2 years ministry experience in some sort of capacity serving in Kids Ministry.
