At Grace Community Church within our children’s ministry, we’re excited to invite candidates who resonate with the descriptions below to apply. Leader of leaders: The work of ministry is too much for any one person. Even Jesus had help, and so we are looking for a pastor (or director) who can “equip God’s people for works of service” (Ephesians 4:12). Someone who hates silos, loves teams, and is constantly raising up others to replace themselves. We have a serious commitment to develop and empower those who serve.

Detailed with a purpose: Safety and growth are products of wise and proactive planning. We’re looking for a children’s ministry leader who is dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith. Someone who’s passionate about implementing and maintaining robust organizational systems that ensure the ministry runs smoothly and efficiently. With a keen eye for detail, they prioritize safety protocols, from secure check-in/check-out processes to thorough volunteer screening and training.

Heart for children: In Luke 18:15–17, Jesus took a surprising stand when His own disciples rebuked people who brought little children to Him. Jesus told them, “let the children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” We need a leader who will build the children’s ministry at Grace because they have a passion and calling to build God’s Kingdom. Children are a blessing, not an obligation.
