Church Planting Resident

This isn’t just a residency—it’s a chance to actually plant a new church while you're still in college. Rooted Church is looking for one or two students to join us as Church Planting Residents during the Fall 2025 semester. This hands-on residency will equip you with real-world experience while actively preparing you to launch a new church in Liberal, MO—just 40 minutes from Joplin—where Rooted has recently been given a building and a growing sense of calling. Throughout the fall, residents will receive focused training in church planting, leadership, and contextual ministry, while also working alongside our team to engage the community in Liberal. Then, starting in 2026, the residency moves from training to action: one or both residents will begin leading Sunday gatherings in Liberal twice a month, taking full responsibility for preaching, planning, and shepherding—while remaining deeply connected to Rooted as a sending church.
