First Christian Church (we go by “1C” around here) is a growing, vibrant, and down-to-earth church in Jacksonville, Illinois. We currently average 1300 in attendance on the weekends. Our mission is simple: CONNECTING UNCONNECTED PEOPLE TO JESUS CHRIST. We love God, love people, and don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We’re seeing God do some incredible things here – new believers, life change, growing ministries – and we believe worship is a key part of the journey. We’re building a culture where worship is authentic, excellent, and accessible to everyone, no matter where they are in their faith.

Position Description
The Audio/Visual Director leads the production and technical environments for 1C’s worship services and ministry events, ensuring excellence in execution, clarity in communication, and support for spiritual engagement through media and technology. This role champions our mission of connecting unconnected people to Jesus Christ by leveraging A/V tools that remove distractions and enhance engagement.
