Associate minister of worship and...

Christ's Church Ocala, is located in north-central, Florida. The church body has been in existence now close to 20 years, so we are still relatively young. The average age of the congregation however, is not.

The SW Ocala region where the church campus is located is in the heart of a major retirement community, so the largest part of our congregation is made up of those over the age of 60. But through the courageous leadership of the Elders of Christ's church we have started to reach a younger demographic. Almost two years ago, the church hired a younger man (in his late 30's) as our new Senior Minister after the former Sr. minister retired.

Since that hire, the church has almost doubled in size, and now has younger families with children and teens who are growing in the Lord.

More than 100 new memberships have been placed at the church this past two years, along with more than 30 baptisms!

We now have an active children's ministry and student ministry with more than 30 children consistently attending between Sunday and Wednesday nights (grades K-5) and 30 in student ministry (grades 9-12).

The need as of this new year is to hire an associate minister who will plan the worship services, prepare the worship team and lead the church in worship. This associate pastor role will oversee all things in regards to worship and planning as well as lead in other needed areas of the church. The other areas of course will depend on the person's gifting and skill sets.
