Novesta Church of Christ is an independent Christian church located just south of Cass City, in the beautiful thumb of Michigan. We're a healthy, growing church that currently averages over 400 on Sunday mornings. We have an active student ministry, a thriving children's ministry, and lots of opportunities to grow.Michigan's thumb features the best of small town American living. Four seasons of outdoor activities, 40 minutes from Lake Huron, and great schools.

About the Position
Position Description
Full-Time Associate Minister of Connections Are you passionate about helping people grow in their walk with Jesus? Do you live your life by “Loving God & Loving Others”? Do you want to see the church grow stronger through discipleship and healthy relationships? The Connections Minister at Novesta will be responsible for guiding adults who attend Novesta to take the next steps in their connection to Jesus and the church. The Connections Minister will develop volunteers, connect with visitors, serve alongside the Senior Minister and other staff, and partner with Novesta to love the thumb of Michigan well.
What We Are Looking For:
- You are someone who follows Jesus fully, trusts the Bible completely, and loves the Church deeply.
- You are highly relational with strong people skills & have the ability to inspire others toward action, involvement, and discipleship.
- You are passionate about shepherding, recruiting, training, and developing others.
What You Will Do:
- Cast vision for and develop the small groups ministry at Novesta.
- Create processes for identifying, recruiting, and launching volunteers into ministry.
- Cooperate with and encourage current teachers and leaders.
- Provide follow up for guests and those seeking next steps of faith and involvement.
- Provide pastoral support: visiting, mentoring, weddings, funerals, preaching (6-8 times a year), etc.
- Use your unique passions and giftedness to bless others, honor Christ, and grow the Kingdom.
- Focus your attention on: connecting new families, developing volunteers, & discipling the church to greater Christian maturity.
Our Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired; Degree in Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education preferred.
- 3+ years ministry experience in a church setting preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the Bible and an ability to explain basic Biblical beliefs with others.
- Strong work ethic and a team player who interacts well with staff, members, guests, and community.
- Willingness to become an engaged and enthusiastic member of Novesta Church of Christ.
