About Ashley Weece and Priscila Davis

About Ashley Weece: In 2023, after nine years of ministry in Louisville, Kentucky, Ashley and her husband, Justin, moved to Brunswick, Maine, to plant Iron Coast Church, which launched in March 2025, where she serves as the associate pastor. Ashley holds a master's degree in evangelism and leadership from Wheaton College and a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry from OCC. Ashley and Justin have two sons, Judah and Journey.

About Priscila Davis: Priscila Davis is originally from a border town in northern Mexico called Piedras Negras, where she grew up in a family that loved music. From a very young age, Priscila discovered the passion for music that God had put in her heart. Inspired by God’s love and grace that she had experienced, she decided to use the musical gifts God had given her to serve him and the church. Priscila graduated from OCC in 2024 and is now using those gifts to serve the community of Joplin.

Women's Event Workshops

All workshops will be offered at both 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Recordings for all sessions and workshops will be provided to registered attendees via email following the Women’s Event.

Purposeful Belonging - Maggie Schade
The kingdom of God is a place of belonging. It's a place where wanderers find a home, outcasts find purpose, and the lonely find family. Do our churches reflect this? How can we become places of belonging that reflect the intentional kingdom Jesus built?

About Maggie Schade: Maggie has served as community impact minister at Christ's Church of Oronogo in Oronogo, Missouri, for 15 years. She is passionate about seeing the local church engage the community in unique and creative ways for the sake of the kingdom. Maggie loves tacos, traveling, and hanging out with her three favorite people: her husband, Isaac, and her kids, Pax and Poppy.

Raising Disciples on Purpose - Dr. Teresa Roberts

Every child is in the process of discipleship. The question is, who or what is discipling them? Come discuss how to raise the young disciples in your life, church, and community to follow Jesus and develop a faith of their own.

About Dr. Teresa Roberts: Teresa serves as professor of ministry and Christian formation, program director of children’s ministry, and a vice president at OCC. With more than 30 years of ministry experience, Teresa is an expert in children’s spiritual formation training. Dr. Roberts holds a Master of Arts in family and youth ministry, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry. She serves in children’s ministry at Carterville Christian Church in Carterville, Missouri, where she attends with her husband and stepdaughter. Teresa is the author of Raising Disciples: Guiding Your Kids into a Faith of their Own (NavPress).

Habits of Purpose: Practices to Keep Your Eyes Fixed on Jesus - Peyton Marple

A discussion of spiritual practices and personality as we pursue a purposeful life with God.

About Peyton Marple: Peyton has served at Ozark Christian College for seven years and enjoys her role in seeing the kingdom advance through the college's programs and partners. Peyton is a wife and a mother of (soon to be!) two, and she would love to spend her days soaking up the goodness of the current season.

Purposeful Remembrance: Ready Your Heart - Monica Butler
In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses called upon the nation of Israel to remember their God—his character, his ways, and his truth. Moses did this to ready the Israelites’ hearts to walk into their purpose inside a new life in a new land. As followers of Christ, we can learn from this example, from Moses' words to Israel, and from this purposeful remembrance as we seek to ready our hearts and minds to walk in greater faith, trust, and purpose.

About Monica Butler: Monica has served in women’s ministry and led Bible studies for 20 years. She is passionate about adult discipleship and helping other women connect to God’s Word and community with one another. Monica graduated from Ozark Christian College with a BA in Biblical Studies and from Lincoln Christian University with an MA in Bible & Theology. She recently published a women’s Bible study covering the first portion of Deuteronomy. Monica and her husband live in the Kansas City metro area, attend Legacy Christian Church, and enjoy spending time with their adult children and grandchildren.

A Life Changed - Jessica Scheuermann

This workshop will look at the ways in which Peter's life was changed because of Jesus and how that same change is possible for us today.

About Jessica Scheuermann: Jessica serves here at OCC as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and as a faculty member teaching English classes.
