Youth Minister (Weekend)

Southern Heights Christian Church is a diverse collection of believers from all backgrounds that desire to abide in Christ. SHCC is a part of the “Restoration Movement,” which is a group of churches that want to gather and worship as the early church did, thus “restoring” the church to the way it was in the New Testament. As Jesus taught, He is the vine and we are the branches and it is our responsibility to bear fruit that reflects the life of Jesus living in us. We believe our ‘harvest’ is purposefully planted, growing, and intentionally producing. SHCC desires to be a collection of people that are devoting themselves to the teachings of Jesus, serving one another, remembering Jesus through weekly communion, expectantly praying for lives to change, and offering the hope of Jesus Christ to our city and its people. We believe that Jesus is the Hope of the World!

The Youth Minister, part-time, is a ministerial leadership position at Southern Heights Christian Church (SHCC) and is responsible for the spiritual leadership, discipleship, and pastoral care of students in grades 6–12. SHCC seeks to fulfill the mission of the early church: ‘Love God. Love People. Share Jesus.’ The Youth Minister supports this mission by helping students grow in faith, character, and active participation in the life of the church. The Youth Minister will partner with current staff, with elder oversight, to ensure all duties are carried out.
