ECC's residency program is a one-year pathway for college juniors and seniors, recent grads, and working professionals who want to train for their calling to vocational ministry. Residents commit about 30 hours a week and receive a living and educational reimbursement, along with leadership training, hands-on experience, and ministry coaching and mentorship. There are two tracks: a Master's Track for college graduates that finishes with a master's degree from Johnson University, and a Professional Track focused on building the skills and experience you need to step into ministry. Residents serve in a primary area like youth, kids, adult discipleship, worship, communications, or guest services, and can add a secondary focus such as pastoral care, missions, or church admin. Host home opportunities are available to cover living expenses, and applications are open now for Fall 2027 and 2028.
