Pastor

Delphi Christian Church is a small (30-40 attendees), independent Christian Church governed by a Board of Elders, Deacons, and Trustees. After fifteen years of service our current pastor is looking to retire. We are interviewing for a part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) Pastor who will also have the opportunity to work a second job if he so wishes. Our local school system provides opportunities for substitute teaching, tutoring, driving a bus, etc. which would also allow our candidate opportunities to be involved within the community. We also have a number of local businesses with employment opportunities.

Expectations/responsibilities include:

• Preaching – Bible-based sermons on Sunday mornings, Easter Sunrise, and Christmas Eve services
• Coordinate special services with the elders, congregation, and other staff members (various dinners, luncheons, men’s breakfasts)
• Coordinate adult teaching, children church, and prayer ministry within the church
• Conduct funeral and wedding services
• Be an ambassador to the Delphi, IN community on behalf of the church (visit shut-inns and any community-based prayer functions.)

Compensation annual package will be in the range of $32,000 to $35,000 annually. This is an excellent opportunity for a young graduate to gain experience and be mentored by an experienced pastor. This is also an opportunity for an older pastor who would like to "retire" to part-time.
