Part Time Youth Minister

We are a church of 200 people located in a small town in rural Illinois near Western Illinois University. We have a full-time Minister and Children's Minister. LHCC is a loving, supportive congregation. For the past 15 years, any staff member that has moved on has left on good terms, and continue to stay connected to our church. We have a lot of young families with kids. We're down to earth and laid back. Most importantly, we always strive to be God honoring, Christ focused, and biblically rooted.

We have job description, but we like to include staff in the final process so the job can best utilize their strengths. Generally speaking, we are looking for someone who is passionate and gifted at leading youth to a relationship with Jesus. We are looking for someone who will plan youth group, programs, and events that will deepen students relationship with Christ. We'd like someone who is willing to recruit, train, and equip volunteers to help within the ministry rather than try to do it all themselves. We also want someone who is willing to be involved in the lives as students, as best as they can (ball games, lunch, etc...).Fill in preaching and musical ability are a plus, but not required.
