Worship/Youth Minister

First Christian Church of Sun City Center is seeking a full-time Music / Youth Minister who feels called by God to serve the local church through worship and student ministry. We are a very friendly, Bible-centered church located in Sun City Center, Florida, with weekly attendance quickly approaching 100. Our congregation is growing, and we have a strong desire to reach the next generation of young people and families in our community. We are looking for a man who loves Jesus, loves people, and has a heart for both leading the church in worship and building a vibrant youth ministry from the ground up. This is more than simply filling two ministry positions. We are looking for someone who wants to become part of our church family and help us reach people for Christ.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate Christian character and spiritual maturity.
• Have a clear sense of God’s calling to vocational ministry.
• Believe the Bible is God’s Word and be committed to biblical teaching and ministry.
• Be able to lead worship vocally and preferably instrumentally.
• Be comfortable leading both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music.
• Have a genuine love for teenagers and a desire to reach young people for Christ.
• Be willing to build and develop a ministry rather than simply inherit an established program.
• Work well with the Senior Pastor, church leadership, staff, volunteers, and congregation.
• Have a servant’s heart and a team-oriented approach to ministry.
• Be approachable, relational, dependable, and willing to become an active part of our church family.
• Have a desire to help a growing church reach younger people and families while continuing to minister faithfully to our existing congregation.
