Position Description
Position: Lead Pastor Location: Decatur, IL (South Shores Christian Church) Affiliation: Independent Christian Church / Restoration Movement.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Preaching & Teaching: Deliver Christ-centered weekly sermons, lead small groups/Sunday School, and serve as the congregation's primary theological guide.
- Visionary Leadership: Partner with Elders on long-term strategy, direct administrative priorities, and equip ministry leaders/staff.
- Pastoral Care: Shepherds the church family with grace, prayer, and presence during times of celebration and crisis.
- Outreach: Lead evangelism efforts to reach the Decatur community and beyond with the gospel.
