Lead Minister

Responsibilities will include helping 3 elders shepherd the congregation through "teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Hence, examples of teaching include weekly preaching, adult Sunday School teaching, some Wednesday night Bible studies or other small groups as needed, and supporting the other various ministries within the church such that we continue to reach the local community. Emmanuel Christian Church's vision is that we believe God has created each of us on purpose. He loves us, cares for us, and he desires to have a genuine relationship with us, which requires us to be surrendered to Him.

We are seeking a lead minister who shares our vision, and with the following qualifications:

1. Have a heart for the Great Commission, and can demonstrate the fruits of your labors thus far.
2. Able to prove that you have the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 through both personal testimony and by at least 3 references, one of which must be from someone in leadership where you are currently serving now.
3. Possesses at least the spiritual gifts of teaching and leadership, and possibly others.

This is a full time opportunity with salary and benefits. However, there is no parsonage currently, so a housing allowance is included as part of the salary. Besides the elders, there are 2 other employees on staff to assist the Lead Minister: a part-time Administrative Assistant, who handles most administrative tasks, such as the office bookkeeping and the website, and a Worship Leader. Musical ability is not required, but would be desirable.
