Full-Time Middle School Minister

General Expectations for All Staff

All staff members are expected to actively participate in the life and ministry of First Capital Christian Church/Church Anywhere by living out the church’s Mission, Vision, and Values. This includes modeling a growing relationship with Christ through personal spiritual disciplines, faithful participation in worship, small groups, and church-wide events, and a commitment to discipleship and developing other leaders. Staff are expected to pursue personal excellence, practice generosity, share their faith, and maintain accountability and a teachable spirit. Healthy rhythms of rest, family life, and Sabbath are valued and encouraged to support long-term spiritual, relational, and ministry health.

The Minister of Middle School will provide primary leadership and direction for the middle school ministry, creating environments where students can grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and engage in their faith. The position is designed for a creative, relational, and spiritually grounded leader who can connect deeply with middle school students, inspire authentic faith development, and support worship and technical aspects of ministry. This position works under the direction of the Core Team and under the spiritual authority of the Elders to equip and disciple believers of all ages toward Christlike maturity. Office hours are flexible and structured to meet ministry needs, with expectations for availability during key programming, meetings, and church-wide events.

Core Responsibilities

• Student Ministry Serve as the primary leader for Wednesday night middle school ministry, planning and leading weekly gatherings, events, and outreach opportunities.
• Disciple students through teaching, mentoring, and building relationships that encourage spiritual growth.
• Partner with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to create a safe and engaging environment for students.
• Participate in Sunday Night student ministry in partnership with the Minister (Students and Family).
