Central Christian Church is located in Ocala, Florida, a growing community in the heart of the state. As the area continues to welcome new residents, there are significant opportunities to serve families, build relationships, and share the hope of Jesus. Ocala offers a variety of recreational and cultural opportunities, with easy access to Florida’s beaches, natural springs, and many of the state’s most popular destinations. At Central, our mission is to get those far from Jesus close to Jesus, those close to Jesus to believe in Jesus, those who believe in Jesus to follow Jesus, and those who follow Jesus to reach those far from Jesus. Over the past several years, Central has experienced steady growth in both attendance and ministry engagement. During that time, we have seen increased participation in small groups, discipleship opportunities, volunteer ministries, and faith commitments. We are grateful for the ways God has been at work as we seek to fulfill our purpose: to be like Jesus so every person will believe in Jesus, become like Jesus, belong to Jesus, and bless others in the name of Jesus. Central is served by a ministry team of 13 staff members, including 9 full-time and 4 part-time employees. Together, they work to support the vision and mission of the church through a collaborative and servant-hearted approach to ministry. Full-time staff members receive competitive compensation along with health and life insurance benefits. Like every local church, Central is not perfect. We are a community of people seeking to faithfully follow Jesus and help others do the same. Our desire is to remain focused on Christ, steward well the opportunities God provides, and continue serving our community as we participate in His work of building His Kingdom.
