Associate Student Minister

The Associate Student Minister will play a key role in shaping the spiritual lives of 6th–12th grade students by helping create environments where students can belong, grow, and be sent. This leader will invest relationally in students, partner intentionally with families, and equip volunteers to disciple the next generation.

THE OPPORTUNITY: We are looking for a relational, driven, and team-oriented leader to step into a healthy and growing ministry. The Associate Student Minister will work closely with the Student Minister and staff team to support the leadership, vision, and execution of middle and high school ministry. The right candidate will be passionate about students, energized by team collaboration, and committed to building a ministry that is both fun and deeply rooted in Scripture. In addition to strong student ministry leadership, we would love to find someone who also has the ability to lead students in worship. While this is not a requirement for the role, it would be a significant help in addressing current ministry needs and would be a meaningful added strength for the team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Investing in Students
  • Build strong, intentional relationships with middle and high school students
  • Teach, disciple, and lead students toward a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Be present in the lives of students (events, games, schools, etc.)
• Leading Ministry Environments
  • Help plan and execute weekly programming, events, retreats, and camps
  • Create engaging, high-energy, and Christ-centered experiences
  • Ensure programming aligns with the overall discipleship strategy
• Developing Leaders
  • Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers
  • Build a strong leadership culture that values discipleship over attendance
  • Equip leaders to invest in students relationally and spiritually
• Partnering with Families
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with parents
  • Support and resource families as they disciple their students
  • Help create a ministry that values and includes parents
• Collaborating with Staff
  • Work closely with the Student Minister and church staff
  • Contribute to overall ministry strategy and church-wide initiatives
  • Bring energy, creativity, and ownership to the team
