We are a small Nazarene church in Southeast Kansas.

My name is Pastor Cory, and I serve at Coffeyville Central Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville, Kansas as the Lead Pastor. I'm reaching out because our congregation is currently searching for a bivocational pastor, and I believe this opportunity could be a wonderful fit for someone in your program, department, or student body — particularly a current teacher, a recent education graduate, or a student entering their final semester of student teaching.We are looking to bring on a bivocational pastor who can serve our church family while also pursuing or continuing a career in education. Coffeyville Central has a heart for reaching every generation, and we place special emphasis on ministry to children and families, so a background in education is a natural and exciting complement to pastoral leadership here.One of the most unique aspects of this opportunity is that compensation includes full use of our church parsonage with utilities covered — a spacious three-bedroom, two-bath home located directly across the street from the high school. For a teacher, student teacher, or education professional, this location could not be more convenient, and it represents a significant, built-in benefit alongside additional compensation for pastoral duties.We recognize that student teaching placements often come with financial and logistical challenges, and we would love to explore how we might walk alongside a student teacher through their final semester — whether that means flexibility with scheduling, support during the transition, or simply providing stable, nearby housing during an intense season of preparation for the classroom.We are open to a range of backgrounds and experience levels, but we are especially hopeful to connect with:1. Current teachers who feel called to bivocational ministry 2. Recent education graduates beginning their teaching careers 3. Students entering their student teaching semester who could benefit from nearby, affordable housing and a supportive church community We are a Nazarene Church and so Wesleyan-Arminian in doctrine and denominational background are a plus.
