Associate Minister of Youth and Family

The Associate Minister of Youth and Family will provide spiritual leadership, vision, oversight, and pastoral care to Oak Lane’s Youth, Children, and Family ministries. This individual will be passionate about helping others, specifically the future generations of the church, experience Jesus and grow in relationship with him. The Associate Minister will provide teaching, discipleship, meaningful relationship, and family engagement with our youth from birth through High School graduation. The Associate Minister will lead a ministry that equips and nurtures spiritual growth with our youth while engaging with their families.

Supervision and Accountability: The Associate Minister of Youth and Family will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Minister and remain accountable to the Elders of Oak Lane Christian Church. They will minister and shepherd collaboratively with other staff, volunteers, and the Elders. The Associate Minister is expected to work collaboratively with church leadership and ministry leaders to carry out the work of ministry in alignment with the Oak Lane’s mission and Statement of Beliefs.

Qualifications:

• Personal
  • Baptized believer who is in theological alignment with Oak Lane and our Statement of Beliefs
  • A deep, personal relationship with Jesus as evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
  • Able to take direction and handle constructive criticism well
• Professional
  • Demonstrates a passion for the discipleship and spiritual formation of children, students, and families across developmental stages
  • Ordained or willing to pursue ordination in the Restoration Movement church tradition
  • Proficiency with modern computer programs (Canva, Google Docs, Email)
• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with preference given to those with degrees in Ministry, Bible, Theology, or related fields
