Mountainview Christian Church exists to affect life change through belonging, growing and serving. Mountainview was planted in 1969 in Gresham, Oregon. We are a multi-generational church, where generations learn from each other to become more like Jesus. Gresham, Oregon is the fourth largest city in Oregon. Gresham is located in east Multnomah County where you will find hard-working people with tradition and heritage meeting innovation and opportunity. Gresham is not far from Mt. Hood, Multnomah Falls, Columbia River Gorge, and Portland International Airport. As the Gresham changes and grows from a suburban setting to an urban setting the opportunities are endless for the church. We believe God has strategically put Mountainview here to affect life change.

The goal of our Youth Ministry at Mountainview Christian Church is to partner with parents in the raising of young men and women who BELONG to Jesus and our church community, GROW in their relationship with Jesus with other believers and SERVE as means of expressing their faith. We believe the most effective means of accomplishing this mission is first, by creating safe and fun environments where students feel comfortable. Second, through the engagement of parents in the discipleship of their own children. Third, through connecting students with our church community through relational small groups for the purpose of discipleship. The key responsibilities for this position can be summarized in the following: Model a life with Jesus Pray Team work Build a leadership team Create safe and welcoming environments Discipleship Teach Build relationships with families Connect with other churches, schools and community organizations Provide spiritual guidance
