WOMEN’S EVENT

APRIL 4-5, 2025

WELCOME TO OZARK CHRISTIAN COLLEGE!

We’re grateful to gather with you both in person and online for this year’s Women’s Event. This weekend, we’ll be challenged and equipped to remember the Life of Purpose for which we were created—life as fisherwomen.

As we worship and remember this call together this weekend, we pray you’ll be encouraged, equipped, and empowered in your walk with God.

May this weekend be another chance to experience God’s faithfulness as you discover the Life of Purpose he has for you.

SPEAKER

Ashley Weece

In 2023, after nine years of ministry in Louisville, Kentucky, Ashley and her husband, Justin, moved to Brunswick, Maine, to plant Iron Coast Church, which launched in March 2025, where she serves as the associate pastor. Ashley holds a master’s degree in evangelism and leadership from Wheaton College and a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry from OCC. Ashley and Justin have two sons, Judah and Journey.

WORSHIP LEADER Priscila Davis

Priscila is originally from a border town in northern Mexico called Piedras Negras, where she grew up in a family that loved music. From a very young age, Priscila discovered the passion for music that God had put in her heart. Inspired by God’s love and grace that she had experienced, she decided to use the musical gifts God had given her to serve him and the church. Priscila graduated from OCC in 2024 and is now using those gifts to serve the community of Joplin.

A PHYSICAL LIFE OF PURPOSE

JEN HOWARD • M26

Explore physical well-being as worship and learn some low-impact exercises to incorporate into your everyday life.

PURPOSEFUL BELONGING

MAGGIE SCHADE • CHAPEL

The kingdom of God is a place of belonging. It’s a place where wanderers find a home, outcasts find purpose, and the lonely find family. Do our churches reflect this? How can we become places of belonging that reflect the intentional kingdom Jesus built?

A LIFE CHANGED

JESSICA SCHEUERMANN • M35/37

This workshop will look at the ways in which Peter’s life was changed because of Jesus and how that same change is possible for us today.

RAISING DISCIPLES ON PURPOSE

DR. TERESA ROBERTS • L13

Every child is in the process of discipleship. The question is: who or what is discipling them?

Let’s discuss how to raise the young disciples in your life, church, and community to follow Jesus and develop a faith of their own.

HABITS OF PURPOSE: PRACTICES TO KEEP YOUR EYES FIXED ON JESUS

PEYTON MARPLE • BANQUET

ROOM (UPSTAIRS DINING HALL)

A discussion of spiritual practices and personality as we pursue a purposeful life with God.

PURPOSEFUL REMEMBRANCE: READY YOUR HEART

MONICA BUTLER • L15

In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses called upon the nation of Israel to remember their God—his character, his ways, and his truth. Moses did this to ready the Israelites’ hearts to walk into their purpose inside a new life in a new land. As followers of Christ, we can learn from this example, from Moses’ words to Israel, and from this purposeful remembrance as we seek to ready our hearts and minds to walk in greater faith, trust, and purpose.

Monica and her husband live in the Kansas City metro area, attend Legacy Christian Church, and enjoy spending time with their adult children and grandchildren.
