Job Summary
Waynetown Christian Church is a vibrant and welcoming community that is committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of our youth. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth or Associate Minister to join our team and guide our young members on their spiritual journey.
Job Description : As a youth minister at WCC , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual development of our youth. You will work closely with our youth, aged 13-18, to provide guidance, support and inspiration in their faith journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading engaging and age-appropriate youth group activities, discussions, and events.
- Providing counseling and mentorship to young members as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.
- Collaborating with church leaders to integrate youth into the larger church community.
- Developing and implementing creative and relevant educational programs to deepen their faith.
- Organizing and participating in service and mission opportunities.
- Fostering a safe and inclusive environment where youth feel welcomed and valued.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to the Christian faith and teachings of WCC.
- Previous experience working with youth in a church or ministry setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere for young people.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- A degree in theology is preferred but not required.
