Urban Impact Foundation is a faith-based, non-profit organization in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The organization was created to foster Christian community development in the North Side neighborhood by changing lives one person, one family, one block at a time. Urban Impact focuses on helping at-risk kids, youth, and families in a holistic manner - academically, physically, socially, and spiritually. This is done by building relationships within programs of Athletics, Education, and Performing Arts.

Job Summary

Urban Impact Summer Day Camp is an 8 week Christian program for 1st - 8th grade Pittsburgh urban youth through the summer. Each camp day includes math, literacy, Christian Education lessons, and recreation. Students also go to the pool, attend field trips, and learn many other artistic and practical skills. Summer Day Camp’s goal is to create a loving atmosphere where at-risk youth spend time building healthy relationships, reviewing and reinforcing academics, learning and growing in God’s Word, and enjoying the outdoors through sports, activities, and field trips. In order to ensure this, we hire a qualified staff of 50 summer interns and maintain a ratio of 1 leader for every 6 students. Summer Day Camp interns get to experience and participate in urban ministry for the summer. Paid positions available: Camp Counselors, Academic Teachers, Spiritual Formation Leaders.
