Job Summary
At present, our three FT staff are sharing the responsibilities of Wednesday night programming and Sunday morning Children’s Ministry. Our new associate pastor will likely hold several areas of responsibility based on their specific giftings and calling but will be expected to help with the coordination of our Children’s Ministry alongside current staff. This will be accomplished through the development of appropriate systems, processes, and training. We have a strong volunteer base that can be utilized in leading most of what happens on a Sunday morning, or that is willing to support a point person that is passionate about being physically present in that ministry sphere on Sunday mornings. In addition, this person will be a part of the preaching rotation, will help with the ongoing development of our small groups system and a community outreach plan, and will help develop a digital outreach strategy. Our staff works hard, but we also spend time outside of the office with one another. We intentionally invest in one another’s families, and we choose to do life together. This is integral part of our culture and identity, so whoever comes into this role needs to be willing to work hard, even if that means helping in another area; they need to be willing to fight for relational unity and God honoring relationships; they must be above reproach in both their work and life outside the office; And as much as anything, this person must be sure of their calling to work in the local church in a pastoral role. We believe God is doing something special here, and the perseverance that comes with knowing that God has called you to be a pastor in the local church is irreplaceable as we take ground for the Kingdom of God.
