Job Summary
The Connections Associate works to empower every adult at the Prospect Campus to take their next step in their personal journey with Jesus. They will create, plan, and build a culture of community and disciple-making among men, women and families. This is accomplished primarily through interaction with first and few-time visitors, weekend presence, building new believers in faith, empowering volunteers, equipping disciple-makers, and establishing small groups. Creates intentional pathways of connection, disciple-making, and engagement, while maintaining alignment with the vision, mission, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
Work with the Campus Pastor and the Multi-Campus Disciple-Making Team to develop and implement strategies for the Campus. Primary oversight of multi-faceted assimilation process from visitor to engaged member in alignment with SECC’s disciple-making strategy. Provide pastoral care and oversight for on campus small group environments and work with Community Pastors for off-campus small groups. Primary oversight of group engagement in alignment with SECC’s disciple-making strategy. Provide oversight for New Member process and the Next Step Class. Participate in normal pastoral responsibilities; such as, hospital visitations, baptisms, weddings, funerals, MOC, etc. Rotating platform host responsibilities with Campus pastor - high expectation for teaching, leading, facilitating, and preaching, as needed, alongside the Campus Pastor.
