Refuge Christian Church
The church is located in Eudora, Kansas, a bedroom community between Lawrence and the Kansas City metro. Eudora has a population near 6,500. Despite being a small town, Eudora is forward-thinking and recently started a new retail development. The town is only 10 miles from Kansas University in Lawrence, and a Panasonic EV battery plant will be opening in nearby DeSoto, bringing thousands of jobs to the area. Currently, the church is meeting at the Eudora Middle School with an average post-Covid attendance of 25.

Please note that this is a sole staff position beginning as part-time. The position will become full-time when sufficient growth occurs. The preaching minister will report to the elders and work alongside them in decision-making processes. His primary responsibilities will consist of preaching, discipleship, and pastoral care. The ability to plan and lead worship with the existing worship band is a bonus but not a requirement. Furthermore, the minister will be responsible for the training and delegation of small group and ministry team leaders and be involved in the setup and tear down process for Sunday services.
The Refuge Christian Church is looking for an enthusiastic, people-oriented minister of the Word to lead and cultivate our recovering church plant of seven years. This person should be organized, able to delegate, and future-minded. Also, he should be able to navigate relationships in the community and church in a loving and non-discriminatory way, balancing the grace of God and the truth of his Word. Most of all, this candidate must demonstrate his love of God within his own home and daily life and be able to boldly proclaim the Gospel, making disciples that make disciples.
To apply for this position, please send your resume, references, and statement of doctrine (what the Bible teaches about itself, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, sin, salvation, and Christ's return) to [email protected]
