Job Summary
The Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) at Peninsula Bible Church is a nine-week paid internship designed to give college students training and experience in doing ministry in a church context. Interns will work closely with and learn from the pastoral staff at PBC while actively participating in various ministries of the church. Each intern will be assigned to a specific ministry (e.g. children’s, middle school, high school). Responsibilities will vary depending on the ministry and the intern. Possible responsibilities include: preparing and teaching lessons, planning ministry activities and events, mentoring students and participating in retreats and camps. In addition to these responsibilities, interns will attend a weekly ministry training class, meet weekly with a mentor, and may participate in informal social activities. Details: Dates: June 19, 2023 - August 20, 2023 Hours: Full time (children’s ministry interns) or 30 hrs/week (all other interns) Hourly rate: $18.50 Grade levels: Freshman through graduating seniors Majors: Open to all majors, but special preference may be given to interns desiring to serve in church ministry.
