Novesta Church of Christ
Novesta is a healthy, growing, joyful congregation averaging about 375 in attendance this year. Our student ministry is in a very healthy place with lots of students, a great group of volunteers, and a thriving kid's ministry as well. In the past five years, we have planted a sister church, Ubly Christian. Our current student minister is going to be the lead minister of a new church plant, Crossroads Christian Church, this fall in a nearby town. We have a great reputation within the community and have long valued the importance of a great student ministry. We are an independent, instrumental church in the tradition of the Restoration Movement.

Job Summary
Responsibilities for student ministry (7th - 12th grade):
- Develop age appropriate ministries to reach all the students in the church.
- Select appropriate curriculum for student ministry programs.
- Recruit, select, train, and lead volunteers within the student ministry.
- Organize trips and events considering safety and spiritual growth as top priorities.
- Plan, schedule, and organize student meetings and leader meetings.
- Develop student leaders.
- Be a strong evangelist to students in the Cass city area through personal visits, activities, and event planning.
- Follow up with students who visit church & student events.
- Create and carry out a plan for service and mission as a part of the student ministry culture.
- Serve as a secondary communicator in all services, preaching approximately 3 - 4 weekends per year.
- Communicate the overall vision, goals, and strategy of the student ministry to the church as a whole and especially to parents.
- Partner with parents to help them realize God’s desire for their child with the goal to produce students who are authentic followers of Jesus.
- Assist the Senior Minister in the implementation of the overall vision and goals for the ministry at Novesta.
- Partner alongside other ministers & ministries in serving the congregation.
- Utilize natural and spiritual gifts for the maximum impact for Novesta and the Kingdom.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Minister.
