Job Summary
Northside Church of Christ in Bloomington, Illinois is seeking a full-time Senior Minister. Responsibilities include preaching and teaching, encouraging and modeling evangelism, prayer and community service, mentoring, helping members cultivating spiritual gifts, assisting members in crisis situations, officiating weddings and funerals, helping with assimilation of new members, and directing staff. We offer a competitive salary with benefits. We are a welcoming and non-traditional congregation of approximately 120 people from all walks of life. For us, the essentials of our faith include a belief in Jesus Christ and the salvation we have through his blood; the acceptance of God’s grace through faith, repentance and baptism; the Bible as the inspired word of God; and the promise of eternal life with God. We are seeking a minister who is well-grounded in the Restoration movement, with a record of soul-winning (evangelism), solid, Bible-based preaching, and strong written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Bible-related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
