How would you like to help impact an entire community for Christ? What about a whole county? To influence others both inside and well beyond the walls of the church building? If so, the Community Outreach and Discipleship role at Highland could be exactly what you’re looking for. Highland Church of Christ is a modern, outreach-oriented church of 600+ in Robinson, IL that exists to make disciples of Jesus who are connected to God, each other, and the world. We’re looking for a team player who’s passionate about Jesus’ command to go into the world and make disciples. A leader who relates to our rapidly changing culture, and who effectively recruits, equips, deploys, and supports other leaders who share that same passion for outreach and discipleship.
The Community Outreach and Discipleship Minister will spearhead efforts to serve our area, partner with other difference-making groups and organizations, and work directly with Highland’s groups and classes. In addition, there’s a great opportunity to be part of our preaching and teaching team, helping the church apply God’s Word to their lives. To help you create a God-honoring, dynamic ministry, you’ll be part of an elder-protected, staff-led leadership model that encourages innovation and smart risk-taking. You’ll also have the support and encouragement of an experienced senior staff team. In addition, you’ll have a solid budget, as well as a flexible facility with more than adequate technology.
