Job Summary
The Student Pastor will lead the youth ministry at Discovery Christian Church, leading a team of volunteer leaders and 2 part-time positions to create effective ministry to middle school students, high school students, and their families. In this role, the Student Pastor will provide regular, consistent ministry to both middle school and high school students that will help students meet and follow Jesus. This person will also be responsible for building and maintaining a budget, communication with parents, recruiting and training adult leaders, implementing a systematic discipleship process, leading special events for students (like conferences, trips, outreach events and service projects), and ensuring effective communicators are empowered to teach students. The Student Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor.
