Job Summary
The job of the Children’s Pastor is to pastor kids and their families to become more and more like Jesus. They will do this by developing relevant, dynamic, age-appropriate learning, connection, and ministry opportunities for kids from birth through fourth grade. This Children’s Pastor will cast vision and build, manage, and lead a team of motivated volunteers to create the structure and processes necessary to implement CCF’s vision of helping as many people as possible become more and more like Jesus. The Children's Pastor will actively implement a plan to disciple kids through their life stages and equip and empower parents to become the primary disciple-makers for their families. The Children’s Pastor will be a team player, fiercely committed to their ministry team and to the staff team. They will go to great lengths to foster and maintain those communities, being an example of what it looks like to be a servant leader who loves God and others, speaks the truth in love, and puts others first.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for a candidate that has the following preferred qualities: CHARACTER: A person who evidences a close walk with God, a deep love and respect for the Word of God, a calling to minister to the people of God, and a heart to reach those who are far from God. COMPETENCY: A person with a passion for children and their families and for helping them become more and more like Jesus; a person who possesses the ability to lead and inspire both paid and volunteer staff. CHEMISTRY: A person who fits the staff and ministry culture of CCF APPLICATION/SELECTION PROCESS: 1. Post the job description and solicit and review résumés. 2. Candidates will interview with the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and pastoral staff team. 3. Final candidate(s) be invited to CCF to teach kids church on a Sunday morning and meet with parents, children’s ministry volunteers, the Board of Elders, and the staff. 4. The SP and AP will solicit feedback and recommend a final candidate to the Board of Elders. Upon the final approval of the final candidate by the BOE, the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor will extend an offer of employment. 5. Upon acceptance of the offer, the candidate will work with a Transition Team to assist with their transition to ministry at CCF.
