Job Summary
Christ's Mission Church ( a New Testament Christian Church) is seeking a preaching evangelist to work alongside the current preaching evangelist to help the church transition after a 33+ year ministry. This position involves but is not limited to preparing and preaching sermons each Sunday, overseeing the four evangelistic ministries of the church along with making personal visits on all new guests of the church. The church is 35 years old, located in St. Robert, MO just three miles north of Fort Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army training facility. The church completed its third building phase in 2020 - a 200 seat auditorium with a foyer, three nurseries, and five offices. Phase one was completed in 1997, a multi-purpose building that was initially used as a worship auditorium and classrooms plus a kitchen but has now been opened up as a fellowship hall/gymnasium. Phase two was completed in 2008 and is an education wing consisting of a Sunday School office, a children's church room and thirteen class rooms. The church has an active membership 115 with an average Sunday morning attendance of approximately 125. Sunday School averages approximately 75 people. Most of our members are retired military, active military or federal government employees and our members' ages range from 1 month old to 91 years old. The church stresses that its members live out their Christianity and be involved in ministry. There are 22 official, active ministries, each lead by a ministry leader (deacon). We emphasize supporting missions financially around the world. We also place a huge importance on Christians being Biblically educated therefore we have a full-time Christian Education Director who oversees the Children's Church ministry, the Sunday School program and our mid-week home Bible studies. Currently we have five elders who shepherd the church and oversee the remaining ministries.
