Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participate in regular congregational worship.
- Meet weekly with Senior Pastor for mentoring.
- Assist the Senior Pastor in planning and executing ministry programs as requested and instructed. Including but not limited to special events at the church, engaging church participation in community events or church sponsored events at the church.
- Participate in leading activities as determined by the Senior Pastor.
- Preach once per month.
- Develop Sunday School sessions or programs for the adult or youth ministry as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
ABILITIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
- Organizing and planning.
- Attention to detail.
- Initiative.
- Reliability.

Job Summary
Job Summary: The purpose of this position is twofold. For the intern, this is to be a learning opportunity through relational ministry to the members of Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV). The intern ministry provides the chance for an intern to gain practical ministry training, to work in an atmosphere of personal and professional guidance and support, to test their gifts and call to vocational ministry, and to develop spiritually and theologically. For CCV, this is an opportunity for the church to invest in equipping leaders for ministry through intentional partnership and relationship.
Applicant Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Some college required; Bible College preferred. Proficiency to lead music worship both vocally and with keyboard and/or guitar a plus (or instrumentally). Experience in traditional service setting preferred. Commitment to a team approach to ministry.
