Job Summary

Boyd Christian Church is searching for a full-time Student Minister. This leader will be creatively developing opportunities for junior high and senior high students to grow in their faith. Boyd Christian Church is a rural church that is centrally located between Mt. Vernon, IL and Centralia, IL with an average weekly attendance of 175. Boyd Christian is seeking a minister who is theologically sound in Restoration Movement principles and who believes in the infallibility of God’s Word and who has high moral integrity with a healthy personal and family life. Also Boyd Christian Church is looking to welcome a person who is passionate about reaching and building up students and their families. A person who has a strong God given desire to teach the Word of God to the students of the community. A leader who understands and relates to the rapidly changing culture of students and their parents. A person who understands and can use technology to connect with the students of the community. This minister would also be a strong leader who can develop and empower teams and serve along-side them. The Student Minister will be accountable to the Senior Minister and the Eldership. Responsibilities include teaching, sharing the Gospel, developing volunteers and leaders, planning and executing the programming. The Student Minister will work with the current youth programs and creatively develop more opportunities to connect with the students in the community.
