The Student Ministry Intern will work with each position of BCCC’s Student Ministry; training in the key elements of the ministry including classroom and special programs as well as administrative systems within the Student Ministry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development: Help develop and maintain programs by assisting the student ministry team as they maintain their Sunday morning service as well as organize events and trips for students. The goal of program development is to provide the best possible environments for students to encounter Jesus on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
Summer Programming: Help execute summer programming by working with the student ministry team as they schedule and develop events, gather supplies, and accomplish a variety of activities during the summer months. The goal of summer programming is to connect with students outside of Sunday morning and to allow students more opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus. This includes things such as trips, weekly Bible Studies, CIY, Mission trips, and more.
Team Building: Assist the Student ministry team in various projects as needed to build teamwork with our volunteers.
Volunteer Care: Provide care for volunteers by making phone calls, sending emails, and writing notes.
Communication: Contact volunteers weekly to insure they are informed of any information that is needed. Also, connect with parents though social media, handouts, and face to face interactions.
Internship: If internship is for college credit, communicate school requirements and fulfill them in a timely fashion.
Staff Meetings: Attend weekly staff planning and prayer meetings.
Departmental Meetings: Attend weekly education team meetings.
